You may want to do some Internet searches and sell that PDP 11 to finance 
your BA maintenance. 

Back when Hughes sold off lots of PDP's and VAX's to third parties.

Folks had whole business enterprises all over the world running on a one off 
application custom written, compiled, and running on one of these old machines.

As the whole business depended on the machine and its application, Folks 
would pay good bucks for parts. Some of this market may still exist. Better than 
watching it go for the price of scrap.
