[R-390] R-388 "deafness"

Dallas Lankford wrote several excellent articles on solving the two major causes of "deafness" in
the R388 series in the Hollow State News.  Dallas also wrote an article of how to add a product
detector in the R-388.  He also wrote an article on how to put Collins mechanical filters in the
SP 600 and HQ-180 among others.

Make sure you have a heat shield between the original rectifier and power xformer or you devise
some alternative.  Some models did not have them. That's how I got one dirt cheap as the rectifier
tube cooked the power transformer.
