[R-390] hp 410B VTVM ( for working on my R-390A)

Hi

 I was digging around in my attic above the shop/shack and came across my 
old HP 410B! No tube in the probe ( of course). Has anyone " successfully" 
modified the probe to use a solid state device- or do I need to keep looking 
for a  EA - 53???
