There are no taxes or duties to pay when bringing US-made goods back 
into the United States.
Just tell the Customs people the items are "US Goods returned".  The 
tag on the radio should be sufficient to substantiate your statement.

With regards to immigration documentation - you (still) do not 
require a passport to cross the Canada/US border by road.  You would 
need one if you were travelling by air or boat.

You must be able to prove you are who you say you are with photo ID 
and that you are a US citizen or in this country legally.  In this 
case your passport with US Visa would suffice.

Border crossing is never fun especially in this post-911 
era.  However keep your wits about you, don't lie and don't volunteer 
information unless asked.
