If a person needs to get rid of his radios and can't afford to give them away, and no one is willing to buy them, I can't blame him for parting them out.  At least they are serving some useful purpose by keeping other radios running.  I was talking to a fellow in Paris, Texas a couple of years ago who had probably a couple hundred boat anchor radios, most of them in pretty good shape.  He said that when he gets ready to give them up, he's just going to dig a deep hole in his back yard, throw them in and cover them up.  Parting them out is sure better than that.
