If you are going to get to San Diego you want to travel east out interstate 8 
about 12 mile to El Cajon. You will find Murphy's and California Surplus in 
town. I have not been there since June 2004. But they were worth visiting.

Look on line for Murphy's surplus. You could send them some E-mail. They did 
lots of Military surplus and could have the plug you need in stock as old used 
by serviceable.

Post where you are going to be and ask the Fellows to give you the current 
local shops in that city.
