Group,

I think it makes sense to mention briefly to the group about "Business
Concerns" that have a long, proven history of less than desirable business
habits. (as well as those that do a consistently positive business) But
mostly when you have had first hand experience...not to just jump on the
bandwagon cause the cousin of your sister-in-laws brother rumored he had or
because it makes for great fun.

I also believe individuals that enter into sales of items to other
individuals is a whole different animal.

There could be any number of reasons, that we are not privy to, that can
cause a couple of individuals to have a problem with a transaction. A
single transaction between individuals that goes south doesn't set a
precedent that all transactions with that individual will. Usually an
individual that takes advantage of more than a couple of others in the same
community will cut his own throat and the problem is solved.

I have on occasion sent private emails to individuals that were showing
interest in doing business with other individuals, warning them to be
careful, if I have had a bad experience or knew someone I trust that has.
But if we created a "Black List" of individuals that any of us have had a
problem with we would probably find some of our list "Hero's" on it. Les
you don't have to post an Amen...I received it telepathically..:-)

I think, as many do, keeping a personal Black List is more appropriate.
(I'm quite sure Hank Arney has one of those from his past experiences)

Just as we are warned "Buyer Beware" there is an opposite and equal warning
of "Seller Beware". (hmm...a theory of business relativity)

Just because someone is a member of this list doesn't mean he can be trusted
to ship something to that hasn't been paid for yet. I would have to know a
fellow pretty good...at least as well as one can know someone through
participation on a reflector, to extend myself to any degree. I have with
several...all were long time list members and with no issues! There are so
many new guys that float through here, as well as those who lurk on various
lists for profit...it's wise to have your shields up unless you have seen
posts for years from a guy you choose to trust to any great financial
degree.

Just my thoughts...

Don't want to see anyone taken advantage of...but I don't want to see any
unnecessary public lynchings either....
