[R-390] PRC-47

I know this is an off the list topic but with such a knowledgeable resource,
I just have to ask. I've been arm wrestling with a PRC-47 radio. No
transmit. I have it narrowed down to no signal from the ALC amplifier
although I'm sure the balanced modulator is working correctly. All of the
voltages and component values check but I can't even force a 500KC signal
thru the chain. Anybody have any experience with this radio?? Sure could use
the help--Thanks
