[R-390] Capacitor Question

I know that Tom at Hayseed Hamfest has a created a prototype of a 
replacement plug-in cap for the R-390, 51-J4, etc. and is thinking about 
going into production with it.

He showed me a pic of it at www.hayseedhamfest.com/plugcap.jpg  The one 
in the picture has eight pins, but he said any production units could go 
either way, 4 or 8.

It seems to me it is bigger in diameter than original, like 1.5", and he 
wasn't sure if that would create problems with clamps, clearance, etc.
