Hey I got a few of those too in my slide rule collection. Even one made by
Aristo, the famous German slide rule manufacturer. It is made in a GOOD
plastic with embossed/engraved markings. (i.e. CIE owned the patents to
those slide rules and had some made at manufacturers other than Pickett.)
Pickett had some other intriguing electronic slide rules including one made
for Collins that had something like 36 scales and did rf path loss and
related microwave filed engineering calculations. Some of the scales were
rather unique and NOT seen on any other American made slide rules like
scales resembling the differential scales of British slide rules of the era.
I could go on and on about how useful some of the slide rule tools of
yester-year were. If I look over my collection and include electronic and
electrical slide rules going back into the 1930's there are literally dozens
of neato stuff. Remember the ARRL cardboard ones ? They were called
"Perry-graphs" as they were often made by the Perry Co. Hey the ARRL is
still selling one or two of these in the past year !!
