Hi. My name is Mike, and I own an R-390 and two R-390A.

<waits for the "Hi, Mike!">

Worse yet, I used to own an R-390 and three R-390A, but I gave one to a
friend. At least he thought I was a friend, until I gave him an R-390A.
I've gone on to acquire three R-1051(*) receivers, a Specific Products
WWV receiver, and several others. Worse yet, I got relicensed again in
2005, and sucked my wife in with me. Our back yard is a forest of wire,
aluminum tubing, RG-8, and guy lines. We spend hours listening to beeps
and buzzes, and to folks on 75 meter AM talking about their most recent
operations and all their physical ills. My workshop is full of test
gear, radios, and components. I can't go a day without a sniff of hot
rosin and a little 63-37 Ersin Multicore. I know. I've tried. I had to
heat up the iron last night. I just had to.

You may be able to kick this addiction, but it's lots easier if you never
get it. Just send all your radio gear to me, and get out while you still
can. My address is good in QRZ and the FCC database. If you live nearby,
just look for the antenna farm.
