I've found that my R390A/URR and T-440/FRT-24 play together well both 
with and without supervision.

What would have been the appropriate mate (i.e. transmitter)
for the 390a? As used in a small one receiver, one transmitter,
station? In other words, what would a small military station
consist of, using 390A quality gear (transmitter, tuner,
antenna, etc?
