Sigh. The problem with getting old is that I remember too many things
like AM stereo and quad stereo and how they were going to save their
respective industries.
On the subject of quad stereo...
I moved a Japanese Marantz 4435 quad stereo receiver down to the graveyard
last week because it is giving me trouble and it too darn complex to
bother trying to fix and spent $100.00 on a similar vintage Sony 2 channel
receiver to replace it - the Sony is vastly simpler, more robust, and
more repairable. (Never thought I would ever hear myself say that about
a Sony).
Never liked that stupid Marantz.
