DW, I've got an R-390 and a 390A that look like they actually "were"  
taken out of the crate and directly released to MARS or the DRMO.   
They're so shiny you could eat lunch off them. They probably weren't  
but they were kept quite clean.

I've seen lots of military and civvie gear new in the crate. The  
radio on ebay isn't one of them. Apparently that statement doesn't  
apply to "that particular" radio.
