ITEM 1
R-390 (nonA). Works nice even without alignment. I have had this
for a few years, not even sure how many at the moment. The front
panel looks really nice. Most of the knobs are probably repainted but
look nice. The chassis seems a bit dirty but not filthy. Ballast
tube has been replaced with a 15LE8 to act as a resistor and this
works great to bring down the voltage to 12.6v for the BFO and
VFO.(Very easy reversal if you want) Meter for line level is as it
should be, the carrier meter is a reasonable replacement but not
accurate of course. It has the top and bottom covers and they are a
pair of Hank's replacements. I was just listening on 80 and signals
are nice. Reason for selling is that I know I will never find the
time to finish it up with a full alignment and service and use it
frequently. Even in it's present state, it works very nicely. It has
the original tube pin straighteners and the tube pullers on the back.
I don't really want to head to the 'bay just yet so I thought I would
ask a reasonable price here and give preference to someone who will
pick it up in Staunton Va in the next month or I can possibly deliver
it via my daughter back to Washington, DC this weekend. Price
$650. If it doesn't work out as far as DC or pickup, I will ship it
CONUS only with the following stipulation: I have a military hard
shell transit case that is just about bullet proof. shipping weight
will be approximately 135# with the radio inside from 24401 and in
addition to the sale price plus shipping, I will charge a $100
deposit on the transit case to cover shipping it empty back to
me. When I get it back (at the buyers expense) I will refund the
$100 deposit. I don't have one of Hank's boxes to ship this and I
want to make sure it gets to a location in one piece with a minimum
of effort on my part to make a secure box.
ITEM 2
Kenwood R-1000 that works nice. It had the AGC modified by Bob
Roehrig and he even published the article in QST and the article is
included along with the original manual and box. This will be double
boxed and shipping is from 24401. I have not weighed it all packed
up it but would guess about 30 lbs shipped. Again, there is nothing
wrong with this radio, but I just need to clean house because its
been on the shelf for a couple of years. Price $220 plus shipping, CONUS only.
ITEM 3
Now... gasp..... a less than boatanchor. TEN TEC Rx 320D computer
controlled radio. This is a really neat little radio to set next to
the computer and listen with the control screen minimized. Copies
AM, SSB, and can output the audio to the sound card and when used
with the DRM software, can listen to digital broadcasts. it is about
as close to being NIB as it can get being several years old. Please
go to the TEN TEC web site and look it up for all the details.
Current price is $349 plus shipping from TEN TEC and I will ship it
for $$270 CONUS so you will save about $100 and get something that
is just as good as new. Included is software, manual, cables and
Power supply. There also has some really great 3rd party software if
one does a google search.
ITEM 4
Nice working and cosmetically great R-1051B with a shock
mount. These are not band cruisers but are dead on accurate for
listening to a fixed freq such as the military 11.175mhz. Comes with
power cord, but no audio plugs or manual. For years I have just used
a 1/4" plug on the front and sent the audio to a 600 ohm speaker.
Again, priority would be given to pickup or delivery connections to
DC perhaps this weekend. Price is $350 plus shipping from 24401 . I
have not packaged this up yet but my guess is that it will run about
100 lbs adequately packaged, without the shock mount which would be
packaged separately at another 20 lbs or so. Two packages!
ITEM 5
Nice working but not so nice cosmetically looking R1051B plus shock
mount and power cord. Again, same details as above but price is $200
plus shipping or pickup.
Thanks for looking,
