Joe, No TRUER WORDS WERE EVER spoken on this reflector. My parents, 
grandparents and a lot of other people have always told me if it works 
leave it alone. Too many self design wannabe engineers that want to 
redesign the wheel that are in a square hole trying to ream them out 
round with a very small Swiss file. There are a lot on members here that 
worked on them with racks of them that PM was the main reason they took 
them off line, under adverse operating conditions, heat, cold, under 
voltage, over voltage, tube shields, no shields, shiny, black ones, 
covers no covers and stored outside at St Juliens and after a little 
elbow grease and some water and due diligence with a little teaking lo 
and behold it works very close to like new without black temp. 
compensating shields. Plug it in set it on freq. come back in 6 months 
and Damm its is still where you left it right on the mark. So in other 
words LITFA and enjoy it.
