No, that is NOT true. I use PDF995 at home and at work. It works 
flawlessly, and there are OTHER PDF-makers available for 
download from other sources.

Adobe Acrobat is copywrited: the PDF format is not.

For PDF995 simply google that. The same outfit makes several 
other packages of software which work very well, all costing $9.95 
each.

Here at work, our newest HP scanner came with one named PDF 
Complete which is NOT an Adobe product. It also works very well.

All the PDFs I put up on the Glowbugs web site were made with 
PDF995.
