ILS is still alive and well.

The two main components are the localizer (center line of the runway) and glideslope (glide path to the approach end of the runway).

The localizer antenna is at the far end of the landing runway, and consists of several antennas in a line perpendicular to the centerline of the runway.

The glideslope antenna is located at the near end of the landing runway, and is the (normally) vertical tower structure to one side of the approach end, and the radiating elements are on the approach side of this short tower structure.
