[R-390] OT: What's a 2J1626 tube?

I've had lots of Mil surplus tubes that have the 2J designator in front of</p><p>the tube number.  Why?--I don't know the answer.  It's not rare, just numbered different.  Maybe somebody else out there has an</p><p>explanation for the extra numbers.</p>
