That's true.  In this case, it wouldn't matter, though, since the case doesn't have to conduct.  It would be for purely cosmetic reasons; however, alodine would probably match better.

Don suggested a place (Spruce Aircraft) that sells Alumiprep and Alodine; however, when I discussed with the local plating outfit, I decided against it.  Seems the authorities aren't so keen on having the rinse water getting in the local water since it contains heavy metals (zinc chromate conversion) so I decided to let them do it for me.  Probably turned out better too.
