Welcome, Welcome and good luck on the test.
If you have not yet heard the Code dies as a test requirement on the
22 of February. While CW is not my favorite mode of communications I
still do it on occasion because some of my old transmitters are CW
only units. It isn't so much the use of CW but the operation of these
vintage transmitters which usually sport a single 807, a 6L6, or a 6V6
which gives me a kick. These transmitters put 5 to about 25 watts
maximum I rarely use more the 5 watts on CW so It's a real kick to get
a signal through halfway around the world. Doing it with something
like a Central Electronics 10A which has an output of about 6 watts is
just the frosting on the cake.
