Hi Jim and gang,
NO MORE TILES. :<(
Kind of a bummer. I still wish I had a few left to see what fun
they would generate on eBay.
NO MORE GOVERNMENT AUCTIONS is surely my most saddest
of reflections. When Clinton took office and balanced the budget by radical cuts and turning over the entire government surplus program over to privatization, that was a nail in the coffin of the U.S. Taxpayer. In the days of old, there was always a gang of us who would attend all the government auctions. Some of the memories linger especially when we would haress the auctioneer
and pull a prank or two, mostly when they would do the spot sealed bids.
I still remember the auctioneer asking RONALD REAGAN to come up and clarify his bid.
I DID EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO STOP FROM CRACKING UP.
I haven't bid again on any of the sealed bids since things have esculated to add a 10 percent BUYER'S PREMIUM to the sale amount.
Till later, back to work.
73,
