[R-390] VLF station SAQ Monday

Reception here in northern Germany was - at least under my conditions and
setup -quite poor. I used an RTF EKD515 (which is a good receiver on VLF,
too). I set the 150 Hz-filter in CW mode. The antenna is a 30 meter longwire
(connected via a magnetic balun).
The signal was hardly audible, let alone readably. At some points I had the
feeling I could hear the call sign SAQ. However, I could "see" the signal in
the waterfall audio spectrum analyser (program "SpaceLab").
Anybody more successful?
By the way, Merry Christmas!

that is early Monday morning. Should be good conditions due to Winter equinox
and low sunspot activity. Hope the qrn is low. See website
