Subject: [R-390] Re: Wanted R-390A

I intend to sell all my boat anchors after the first of the year when I am
recovered from some serious surgery and can handle the heavy radios. The
list includes three R-390As and lots of associated test equipment and parts.
I accumulated this stuff before I retired, intending to get serious about
restoration and such. But now, I know that I will never get around to it.
Other priorities have come up. If I sell to the list, I don't intend to ask
more than $450 or so for a complete, unaltered, working R-390A with meters
but needing restoration providing that the buyer can make it real easy for
me to ship it or deliver it. I also have a Rick Mish (Miltronics) restored
R-390A that has had everything done to it that Rick does in a complete
restoration but has since developed a minor problem - and yes, it has the
Miltronics sticker on the back to prove that it is a genuine Rick Mish
restoration. I will ask a little more for it, but still hundreds less than
it would probably go for on e-bay. I may go ahead and repair it before
selling it, but if someone wants it as is, that's OK too. I will also have
an original condition, clean and working Collins 75A-1 and Johnson
Adventurer to sell if anyone is interested, and even perhaps an SP-600.
I'll contact the list sometime in January to start disposing of the stuff.
