I have used the Vishay/Spectrol 10-turn pot available from Mouser. This is
the one I recall using (it's been a few years):

The 10 turn pot will give much better zero adjustment and won't drift like a
single turn pot. It's just small enough to fit under the bracket on the IF
module.
The wire wound pot described in the cost reduction report is probably a
single turn, not a precision 10 turn.
