[R-390] r-390a on Ebay $$ WOW

Why did this Rick Mish 150111604787 not sell with a bid of only $1300? 
And this radio with poor pictures, missing antenna relay go for $1400, 
and of course 170102112227 now over $2000.. I'm a little perplexed, are 
these being bid up by by the seller having multiple accounts hoping 
someone will jump on the bandwagon?
