[R-390] Old audio recordings archive

This is a topic getting good 'airplay' on the AM reflector - I, and
several others are trying to gather any and all old recordings that may
have been made of QSOs, conversations, signals, etc - from the past days
of Ham Radio. I'm a lifelong audio professional, and have the facilities
to restore and convert any kind of media, from home-recorded acetate
record discs, to wires, old tape, dusty cassettes, etc., etc.

The plan is to make CDs/DVDs for individual folks, and to compile a
library of these materials in a (reasonably) central place on the Web, as
WAVs or MP3s, or whatever. All completely free of charge, except postage,
of course.

If you have any old recordings lying in a dusty box behind the racks, or
know of any old ham-oriented legacy audio materials - I'd be very
interested in obtaining these. I'll then transfer them to a digital format
(into ProTools for the curious) and do any necessary restoration work,
then return the Materials and a CD copy to you.

Just thought I'd throw this out, ya never knows until ya Asks....

Cheers
