Subject: [R-390] 390A---and a bedside radio)
"Friends,
Got way too out of touch, but the 390A that I sold my SP-600 to help buy, in
the event anyone recalls...is great in the workroom, but not the bedroom...
(I delivered the 600 in August to a nice guy in New Mexico. I believe he is
going
to completely restore it."
[chop, chop]
My Motorola was a "bedroom" radio, as was the rest of my MW DX station.
Fortunately, The Boss doesn't fret over radios in the bedroom. I'm the one
who raises a fuss n' ruckus over stuff out of place and stuff that's not
just so-so.
If it were up to her, the house would be a junk heap. Very unwomanly and
very
un-Filipina-like.
She has a space in front of the TV (which I DO NOT WATCH, ESPECIALLY
*SPORTS*)
that's just her own, and if I try to go through it and tidy it up just a
widdle bitsie bit, she raises
a real squawk.
So, I wanted a neat bedroom and I paid $125 for a well-done, polished wood
cabinet for my
ugly baby. I have cleaned it up (the R-390A) and would get the panel redone
but for the price
and hassle.
Thought I'd heave that in. Jest mah opinion, sez ah. Take it 'er leave it,
sez ah.
