You can get excellent results with a 12v power transformer (one with a
120v primary). Seriously. 12v at 200 mA is way more than you need. I've
used everything from these to spare McIntosh output transformers (some
of which had 600 ohm windings), and can say from experience that you'll
never know the difference with any 600 ohm boatanchor.
