Name is Charles (Alan) Taylor, WD9INP/4.
Live actually in GRIFTON. Not even God knows where that is. Boss and I 
average 61 years. Married 37 of them.
Tech + with CW novice-level operation in middle future.

Retired transmitter technician (GS-11) from VOA (IBB) Greenville (NC) 
Transmitting Station.

Contracted cancer and now cannot talk. Otherwise, in good condition. 'Spect 
I can have my voice back in two years, but no hurry.

Also receiving Social Security disability, which I consider welfare. I wish 
to become a net taxpayer and am considering any number of in-home employments.

A possible part-time R-390A/URR repair facility or acting as a contractor 
for another is a good possibility.

I went to a Navy one-week school on the R-390A/URR. Navy trains well 
because techs often are called upon to act independently as aboard a 
destroyer. Bulk of experience is post-Navy military. I'm a journeyman plus 
two echelons. Near expert, but still can be stumped by a simple question. 
All that I learned is coming back in an avalanche.
