Ken,

Thank you for this research work. In the classical academic world, graduate
degrees were awarded for research in areas not formerly covered. You seem to
have advanced the state of our knowlege in the same way here.

I suspect there is a problem, however, that you did not mention. The contents of
the rare PTO's may be less than fully dry. So I would expect corosion of the
innards and loss of funcionality (in both the radio and the operator in the
case of the last one you show.)

So I offer some help in this matter: Just select one or two of those endangered
radios and ship them to me. I'll return the shipping cartons to you with a
non-endangered readio carefully packed inside. That way you will have one or
two more radios to work on and restore, and I'll have the risk of dealing with
sodden and inoperative PTO's.

I make this offer partly because I have here an SP-600 that was submerged in
water for some time. It's a very sad thing indeed.  It may never run again. 
But there's hope for your radios with liquid-filled PTO's.  I may be able to
save them.

your (very clean) radios here.
