Ed and others,

I bought a box lot of parts at my antique radio club auction. It had a few
variable capacitors, small transformers and some cigar boxes I assumed had
smaller parts in them. The first few cigar boxes I opened had resistors
and small caps and some hardware. The last one was heavier and had an odd
feel to it. Opening it up revealed a partly used pint bottle of genuine
Uh-Merrican sour mash whisky.

Seems as if the OM who owned this stuff had a small stash to calm his
nerves after discussions with the XYL about how many radios he had.
