[R-390] Knight K600 tube testers

Hi R-390,

I just came across two very similar Knight tube testers.
They have no model numbers attached, but appear to be two
of the Knight K600 family of emission testers.

One of the testers has sockets for Nuvistors and 9 & 12 pin
compactrons. It closely matches a picture I've seen of a 600C.
But the roll chart appears to stop with tube types used before
about 1960 or so.
Example: it has tests for 6DC6, 6EA8, and 6U8, but not for
26Z5, 6GH8 & 6LM8, or 6EJ7 & 6EH7, or 6JC6 & 6JD6.
Most interestingly, in spite of the Nuvistor and compactron
sockets, there is no test data for a 6CW4 or any of the
compactrons. This could be consistent with a 1962-63 manufacture
date, where the tube style is in early production, but there
were not many in the field.

The second tester is older, and sockets stop with 7 & 9 pin
miniatures in addition to the octal and the older "large pin"
tubes. Of course they will both test 807s :-)

I'm wondering if anyone has information on calibrating these
emission testers, and pointers to more comprehensive tube test
data for them. I'd also be interested in pointers to information
on the various K600 family of testers, so I can better identify
the exact models.

Please send replies by private mail and I'll summarize if there
is sufficient data.

Cheers!
Gary
