Ever hear of a Zenith Chairside (coffee/end table)? I was inspired by the
Zenith Chairside to build something similar, but using an R-390a. Instead of
bickering with the xyl about what's on tv, I sit with headphones and tune in
and tune out!

Is this actually a real EAC R-390A receiver in the
pictures?? My EAC does not have any 807's at all.? I
would like to know exactly what the function of this
807 is in this unit. Is this mod documented anywhere?
Does? anyone have any idea what the mutual
transconductance of this tube is with respect to its
function as depicted??

It would appear that it must be used as some type of
noise filter and that its regular use might make the
sound of the R-390A more mellow.

Just curious
