Bob,

I see your problem with this receiver rebuild.

I agree with Cecil. Take the time to get it back to the rebuilder and have it 
worked on some more. 

You have at least the following problems you would like fixed that 
should have been fixed to start with the first time it went to the shop.

1. a split gear not set up right.
2. RF band switch problem.
3. MC knob loose
4. Gear dropped apart and lost alignment.

You are paying great money for service bench time and that kind of
money deserves better performance.

There is nothing in the receiver you could not fix yourself.
There is nothing in the receiver that could not have been fixed to start with.

Now you have paid a large sum for services and the results was close but no
cookie. Keep mailing to your service provider and ask him to put the rest of 
the 
effort into it to get it correct.
