Did you replace the cable from the PTO?  The clamp on mine has a 
small "collet" with four fingers that are designed to grip the cable.  It 
originally grips on the outer jacket and a 0.098" OD cable won't fit inside 
the clamp -- at least it wouldn't on mine.  For it to grip on the small 
RG178, I had to build up the OD with shrink tubing.

I think RG196 will work with the original MB connectors, so it will work 
for the IF and 2nd oscillator cables, but I wanted something that would 
work for all the cables and this stuff appears to be the cable to do that.
