Thinking out loud here myself: I think that depends on what type of 
customer is involved.

Rick has always, ALWAYS, been very good to me. I have absolutely no 
complaints.

Further, I understand that, in fact, MOST of his customers are very 
satisfied with his work.

In any business, especially a SERVICE business, there will always be 
some customers whom it will be impossible to please, for any of a 
number of reasons. 

Sometimes once things get started in a wrong direction, there is nothing 
anyone can do to change that.

I certainly have experienced that, and I worked as hard (in my own 
opinion, much harder) than everyone else in my business did to do a 
top notch job at all times.
