[R-390] Antenna Relay???

I have a dead R-390A, but when I connect the antenna directly to the antenna lead removed from the antenna relay, the radio comes alive and works very well.

So, my problem must be with the antenna relay.  I am sure someone else has experienced such a problem and can give me a little push in the right direction.

Do I take it apart and clean it up or is it getting power that it's not supposed to be getting from the break in circuit and shorting out the antenna input?
