I spent 18 years working inside the German Auto Industry, and used the
language every day. DW got very close, but there were a few key errors.
Following is a little clearer translation of the text:
Shortwave receiver, Collins R390/A URR. Tube device. Reception coverage
500kHz-30Mhz. Manufacturer of the device is Capehart Corp. The device works.
In contrast to the usual R390/A, the device has no mechanical filters in the
IF, as you can see in the photos. The famous current regulator, 3TF7, was
replaced by a resistor, postion in picture. The device weighs 36 kg, so pickup
is the best solution, but delivery through GLS is possible, but 13.80 Euros.
A handbook copy can be sent along. As a private seller, I cannot provide a
guarantee and am therefore selling the unit as defective.
(note: The word Gerat (device) translates well to English, but its use is
awkward sometimes to native english speakers.)
Sounds like a pretty straight up description of the radio!
