 This was an airborne receiver that was the replacement for the
BC-348 in the early 60's. When the Marine Corps (and probably
Navy) removed the ART-13/BC-348 combination (AN/ARC-8) , from
their transports, and replaced them with the AN/ARC-38
transceivers and added the R-648 for an auxiliary receiver.
