Is it possible this was not a "half-built" module but a "built,
torn down for spare parts, and the begun to be rebuilt" module?
For reasons that I do not fully comprehend I've seen lots of
stripped-down IF modules over the years, almost always missing
the BFO and often missing some other parts.
