A friend of my wife's was an in-home nurse and when an older lady that
she was caring for passed away the lady's family took everything they
wanted out of the house and we had a chance to choose from what
remained. One of the items was a Scott receiver that had been sitting in
the same place in the house since it was bought new in 1948 and, except
for some dried-out caps, was in superb condition...we even had the
original sales reeceipt! I had no place to keep it so it now resides in
the Virginia City (NV) Radio Museum for visitors to enjoy.
