Don't use jb weld to fill in the engravings, use auto body glazing putty or  
bondo, glazing putty is preferable.

You will get a BLACK, power coated and silk screened panel in  return.
You will be amazed at how good it looks.
You will then be either  the envy or the scourge of all your R-390A friends.
