Your squeak may not be metal moving parts.  If the slugs are tight inside 
the coil forms, they might squeak too.  Slugs get tight if the coil form has 
expanded (may have gotten wet).  I take some very fine sandpaper and roll it 
up like a cigarette so it fits inside the coil forms and gently smooth down 
the insides of the coil forms.  Your mileage may vary,  N4BE
