Dave,
Interesting.. I note these points:
1) At first I thought that the unit above the R-390's was a CV-157 but a
look at pictures here tells me it is not.. I decided that it is the
two-channel RTTY converter, the CV-116. I have a CV-115, the one-channel
version of that ( and would like to find a manual for it.)
2) The R-390's both have covers over the frequency dials. Maybe I'll get a
piece of cardboard to tape over one of my radios to see if I want to search
(and pay for) a genuine cover.
3) The guy has a telegraph key on his left leg and is operating it with his
right hand.. was this a better way to run it? I'd assumed that the key
would be on the right leg for a right-handed person.
4) The device on the table appears to be a portable photograph for 45 rpm
records. It looks like the speaker is stuck on the bulkhead to the left of
the CV-116. Perhaps a record player was not included in the original
contract for the communications hut.
