[R-390] Blackface 390A on the e-place - BEWARE

Hi to all friends,
                  in my personal opinion the black face R-390A/URR is 
advertised in a manner not completely clear : the seller says that it is in 
CIA black colour not really a CIA radio. But I want to say some things and 
in the same time ask your opinions :

usually here in Europe (and mainly in the States) you see R-390 series 
receivers in battleship grey, usually the light gray or black front panel 
were re-painted to meet the request of the owner so they are "not original" 
and they worth less than an original one (in my personal opinion)

I think that all the R-390 series receiver were battleship gray, do you know 
of some ORIGINAL in other colours? I not

I bought a R-390/URR and a R-389/URR from Rick Mish of MILTRONIX he leave, 
at my request, the front panel of the R-389/URR not repainted (it was really 
good) and he re-painted the front panel of the R-390/URR in the original 
colour; in that time I have had some correspondance with Rick (really a very 
good person) and he said me that from time to time he made some light gray 
with black lettering front panels to meet the new style of Navy receiver but 
he didn't said that this was ever done from the Navy

in other words in my personal opinion : if the front panel is in bad 
condition we can repaint but in the original colour battleship gray other 
colours give me some gastric troubles!

I hope that my english isn't too bad and that my e-mail not too wasting time 
for you my friends.
