I have. I posted that mod to the web site in question. I had to do 
it to an R-390 once, which I then sold through Rick Mish. He 
liked it well enough that when he passed the receiver on after 
refurbishing it, he left it in.

It works as advertised. Most of the things I have posted to that 
web site have been tried at least once.
