Gentlemen, my name is Rick K8PJQ and I've had that call since 5-59. I have a
small military working knowledge of R-390's ,as I long ago plied the
undersea world on nuclear subs as a radio operator ,including taking the
Skate SSN 578 to the North Pole. I been reading the incident that occured on
this reflector ,and I'd like to state this:
1. Each and every one of you possesses talent and experiance which you
freely share with anyone.
2. When someone offers us a gift-and we choose to accept that gift,
then we accept it with gratiousness and
gratitude.
3. Everyone, whether newbie (myself), or old timer, has the choice of
accepting these gifts be it advice, referrals
etc...
4. This is what you do when you post responses- you offer a gift. I
personally appreciate any knowledge I can
gain from your collective experiance. At 62, I consider myself a
"midtimer", not an "oldtimer" ,and thoroughly
enjoy reading and taking notes from this reflector.
I belong to another hobby/club/group whose national monthly
magazine states in each issue "Join Us and Have
it All". I guess I've said what I needed to say, thankyou, keep
this group together and "Have it All".
