[R-390] More Ballast Tube Noise

Oh my....

As the original poster of this thread, I would like to say thanks to all for 
their invaluable input and lots of humour. I now know how to change a tube 
properly, if I ever have the need to.

That "BALLAST" word screams of trouble on the R390 list, I should of known 
the fun that would follow, hi hi.

Nobody new of, heard of or commented on the 3TFV4.

BTW, I did not say or suggest I was intending or wanting to replace a 7 with 
a 4 in an R390. I was just curious on the difference between these tubes. I 
just happened to come across all 3 of these tubes in a big tube box at a 
swap fest last weekend and I grabbed all 3 for .25 cents a piece.

Thanks again to the vast knowledge given freely of this fine group.
