I agree. Based on my limited experience with them, wiki's are good for
large groups of either document development collaborators or interested
users, or both.
By the way, what does "wiki" mean, anyway? Google says: "Wiki is sometimes
interpreted as the backronym for "What I know is", which describes the
knowledge contribution, storage and exchange function. ... "
Ok good, but what's a "backronym"?
Holy Acros, Batman, this stuff is COMPLICATED!
The process of gathering, editing and writing what may become an addendum
is really not all that complicated. It can be done one chunk at a time,
and likely will not involve more than a very few people per chunk.
The next step, getting some folks to use it and make corrections/comments,
can be done nicely with a simple web site document, it seems to me. Lots
of dialog, commenting and contributing can be done over this mail list,
which is it's purpose, right?
